FANCY JAPANESE AIR-DRY CLAYS

white paper clay

Paper clay is all composed clay with pulp, includes stone powder, binder and other additives. White Clay has the most simple composition with standard nature of simple touch and feel. Usually formed with a core.

woody clay - sepia or bronze

white clay with additives to add colour, toughness and stick free qualities. Woody Bronze clay looks black when wet but it shows bronze colour (bronze is alloy of copper and tin used for statues and others) when dry and polished. Click this to see what you can do!

angel clay

non-sticky and light weight (1/8 of ordinary white clay) and feels like marshmallow or sponge and after it is dry, it is still soft like expanded polystyrene, thus safe for younger children's use. Click this, this and this for projects.

wing clay

non-sticky and light weight (1/3 of ordinary white clay). After it is dry, it is not spongy, as compared to angel clay. Click to see usage.

silk clay

white clay with resin binder making it completely stick free to hands or table tops. It can be stretched like paper by hand or stretching pole and used for making dresses for dolls, flower petals etc.

hoiku clay

a type of oil clay - well kneaded stone powder and oil after chemically reacted by soap, oil and fat. Widely used by kindergartens and primary schools in japan.
